How long have you been with Eastern Sirens?

I’ve been part of Eastern Sirens since I was in Grade 5, so it’s been two years now!

Why did you join and what do you like about artistic swimming?

I had been swimming for four years but wanted to try something different. I’ve always loved gymnastics and ballet, but I also wanted to stay involved in a water sport. When my mum showed me videos of synchronised swimming, I thought it looked amazing—dancing underwater with your legs in the air! I love artistic swimming because it’s so much fun, especially getting to swim and perform with my friends.

What has your journey been like so far? Have there been any challenges?

My journey with Eastern Sirens has been amazing! At first, learning new routines was a bit tricky, but once I got the hang of it, I really enjoyed being in sync with my teammates. Competing was also challenging because there were so many talented swimmers, but in the end, it was all a great experience and lots of fun!

Nationals 2025 will be in Melbourne. What are you looking forward to?

I feel a bit nervous about Nationals since it’ll be my first time competing against other states. But I’m also really excited to perform my routine in front of my family and friends—it’s going to be a great experience!
